HCA Florida Brandon Hospital has unveiled a new 70,000-square-foot medical office building directly across from its main campus, aiming to enhance hospital specialty care and bolster physician training in the Brandon community.

The facility, located at the corner of Moon Avenue and Oakfield Drive, now houses HCA Florida vascular specialists and cardiac surgical specialists, providing patients with more accessible outpatient services. Inside, the building features advanced simulation labs, modern classrooms, on-site sleeping quarters, a fitness area, and dedicated wellness spaces designed to support residents and fellows in training. This comprehensive setup reflects the hospital's commitment to balancing clinical work, education, and physician well-being.

To further integrate the new complex with the main hospital at 119 Oakfield Drive, plans are underway to construct a pedestrian bridge over Oakfield Drive. This addition aims to provide a safer and more convenient passage for patients, physicians, and staff between the two facilities.

The new building also serves as the permanent home for Brandon Hospital's Graduate Medical Education program, which has grown to include nearly 200 residents and fellows. The program offers Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-accredited training across multiple specialties, including internal medicine, emergency medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pathology, transitional year, surgery, addiction medicine, interventional cardiology, and cardiovascular disease. This expansion underscores the hospital's dedication to preparing the next generation of healthcare providers.

Patients can expect to begin scheduling appointments with specialists in the new offices soon. This development is part of a broader strategy to cluster specialty services and teaching programs around hospital campuses throughout the Tampa Bay region, enhancing the quality and accessibility of care for the community.
