Brandon, Valrico, Riverview, and Fish Hawk residents can expect a changing weather pattern this week, beginning with warm temperatures and afternoon thunderstorms before transitioning to sunnier, more comfortable conditions heading into the weekend.
According to the National Weather Service Tampa Bay Area, daytime temperatures will reach the mid-80s early in the week, with cooler mornings and pleasant afternoons developing by Saturday and Sunday.
Tuesday and Wednesday: Keep an Umbrella Handy
Tuesday, November 3, brings partly sunny skies with scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms.
Temperatures should reach approximately 84°F, with a 50% chance of precipitation.
Wednesday will bring similar conditions, with highs near 85°F and another opportunity for afternoon thunderstorms.
Residents heading to the polls Tuesday should consider bringing an umbrella, particularly if voting later in the day. Thursday and Friday: Sunshine Returns
By Thursday, conditions are expected to improve considerably.
Thursday should be sunny, with a high near 85°F.
Friday will feature mostly sunny skies and temperatures around 84°F.
Overnight lows will gradually fall into the 60s, bringing some relief from the warmer, humid conditions earlier in the week. Saturday and Sunday: A Pleasant Weekend Ahead
The weekend looks especially promising for outdoor activities.
Saturday is expected to be sunny, with a high near 82°F and an overnight low around 62°F.
Sunday should remain sunny, with afternoon temperatures near 80°F.
Whether you're planning a morning jog, visiting a local park, or spending time with family outdoors, the weekend currently offers the most favorable weather of the week. Weather Watch
The primary concern this week is the possibility of thunderstorms Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon.
Anyone working outdoors, attending sporting events, or traveling around the community should remain alert for changing conditions.
Remember, thunder means lightning is close enough to pose a danger. Move indoors when thunderstorms approach. Planning Ahead
The overall weather trend is encouraging: warmer and potentially stormy conditions early in the week, followed by sunshine and cooler temperatures toward the weekend.
Monday, November 9, is tentatively expected to bring partly cloudy skies and cooler conditions, although that portion of the outlook should be checked again as the date approaches.
The bottom line: Keep an umbrella nearby Tuesday and Wednesday, then look forward to a sunny, comfortable weekend across the Brandon area.
